In the fall of 2019, we purchased this Amish-built home and its surrounding acreage with a simple vision: to create a perfect place for friends and family to gather. We knew the house had “great bones,” but it needed a pair of dedicated hands to bring out its full potential. Leveraging Mike’s expertise as a professional electrician and my decade of experience in the wholesale nursery industry, we spent the next four years meticulously renovating the estate. From a complete overhaul of the kitchen and bathrooms to the transformation of the landscape, every corner of Outback Valley Estate has been touched by our personal craft.
We believe that true luxury is found in the details. Mike spent countless hours hand-crafting the outdoor entertaining areas, including a waterfall and shower wall built from stones found right here on the property. While the home has been modernized for your comfort, we’ve been careful to preserve the peace and tranquility that first drew us to this spot. What started as a private project soon became a passion for hospitality, leading us to open our doors to guests who want to experience the best of North Carolina’s wine country.
Today, we reside next door and act as active stewards of the surrounding 45+ acres. We take a hands-on approach to every aspect of the estate’s upkeep—whether it’s splitting and stacking wood for the wood-burning fireplaces, maintaining the fields, or tending to the gardens. We are constantly looking toward the future, currently building a barn with hopes of welcoming a pair of retired horses to the pasture soon. It is our honor to share this labor of love with you, and we look forward to being a part of your special gathering.
